So no one has written in here yet, probably for several reasons, including fear of being the first one to say something stupid and the fact no one will read it until we poke them with sticks.

John Hughes died yesterday and if you've ever watched his films you will know that someone great, and innately original, has gone. The New York Times said, "he made stars out of quirky girls and charmingly cocky off centre boys." He made it important not to fit in, not to be bland, and alright to be a geek or a misfit.
He made adolescence really fucking funny too while he was at it too
